Why You Should Check Out Your Recruitment Consultancy Before Working With Them
You would not hire a builder or a solicitor without first checking their experience, credentials and success rates would you – you would perhaps want to see evidence of their work?
So why do so many candidates and clients fail to check out their recruiter when hiring one?
There are hundreds of recruitment companies out there – some good and many not so good so before you employ the services of one or register your details with one ensure that you know who you are dealing with.
Tips
Have a good look at their website – see how long the agency/consultancy has been established. Expertise comes with experience.
Any good recruitment company will have a testimonials page or reference page – where clients and candidates can view what other people have said about them.
If they have not got this type of information readily available you should be concerned.
Ensure that you are working with a specialist recruiter – if you are looking to hire or find a job in the medical/healthcare field make sure that you are working with a recruiter who specialises in this vertical.
The same goes for other verticals such as IT or Engineering.
A good agency will reply to EVERY job application also – so if you have applied for roles and not even had a reply cross the agency off your list.
They should also be a member of the REC - this is the National Recruitment and Employers Confederation - check their websites for this logo.
